You have clothing; you be our ruler, and let these ruins be under your power. (Isaiah 3:6)
Mankind is designed to follow. He was designed to follow his Creator, but ever since his fall, he has been following anyone who will lead him. It is amazing how we have devolved into followers of those whom God never intended to lead. We choose our leaders based more on appearance than aptitude, and by their ability to give a stipend more than their ability to give guidance. We seem to be more interested in their clothing than their character. We foolishly choose leaders ignoring their morality and spirituality. We are duped into believing that being concerned about their relationship with God is being intolerant. We are told that their ability to lead has nothing to do with their relationship to the one true God. Ladies and gentlemen, come on, how can anyone honestly lead without following the Creator of what they are attempting to lead? Do not choose a leader based on personal need, but choose a leader based on their willingness to follow God.
