The righteous God wisely considers the house of the wicked, overthrowing the wicked for their wickedness. (Proverbs 21:12)
Wickedness is not so much something that is done as much as it is something people are. It is being evil by nature. Wickedness can and must be overcome. The only way to rid ourselves of a wicked nature is to acquire the nature of Christ. This we do through the confession of our sins and repentance. We cannot live lives filled with wickedness and expect God to bless our endeavors. God says in Ezekiel 33:11, "I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways! For why should you die." Wickedness is most evident in that it is inevitably perverse. Because wickedness is evil by nature, it always begins in the mind. It is as much what we think as what we do. If we find ourselves thinking wickedly, remember God considers the house of the wicked and overthrows the wicked in their wickedness.
