Title

The Power Of The Will

Scripture
Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
(Ephesians 5:17)
Devotional
We have a choice, we can know and submit to our own will or we can obey and submit to the will of God. It is simply a matter of understanding. It is more important to understand the will of God than to understand our own will. Self will is deceptive. The will of man is based on emotion, desire and lust. The will of God is based on trust, hope, and love. Nevertheless, the will of man is very powerful. Man has the ability to will himself into good as well as evil. The will of man can change circumstances, health, and the entirety of life. All of the choices of man are based on the will of man. Man wills to sin and man wills to do righteously. When man submits his will to the fundamental will of God, understanding of the perfect will of God comes.
