Do You Need a Little Rain?

He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.

Here we have a metaphor of the Spirit filled life. John defined it in the following verse, "This He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive."[30] To say that we believe in Jesus and there not be a difference in our lives is a misnomer, an error in naming Him as Lord. Those who by faith have believed in Christ ought to exude life. I know and understand that there are times of drought when a river's flow is weak and shallow; nevertheless it remains a river. Wherever there is a river there is life, both within and on its banks. Likewise there is to be life in the believer and there is to be life surrounding the believer. Maybe you are in a time of drought. Here is what you need to do, "Ask the Lord for rain In the time of the latter rain. The Lord will make flashing clouds; He will give [you] showers of rain."[31] "There shall be showers of blessings."[32]
