Title

Holy Spirit Anointing

Scripture
Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, "Rulers of the people and elders of Israel."
(Acts 4:8)
Devotional
Here we have a fulfillment of Jesus' prophecy concerning an event like this, "When they arrest you and deliver you up, do not worry beforehand, or premeditate what you will speak. But whatever is given you in that hour, speak that; for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit."[34] To lead leaders or to refute them, you will by all means have to be under the authority of a greater authority than yourself. The apostle John calls it the anointing, "But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him."[35] Whenever we allow the Holy Spirit of the living God to have total dominion in and over our lives, the anointing will abide on and in us. We will be filled (controlled and empowered) with the Holy Spirit.
