Title

It May be Time to Clean House

Scripture
To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven
(Ecclesiastes 3:1&6b)
Devotional
The Wisdom of Solomon is evident by its simplicity. The wise not only know what to keep and what to discard, but when to do so. Nostalgic memorabilia may be sentimental, but it may also be that which ought to be thrown away. After I came to Christ the things that I once cherished changed: from books to cloths and from places to thoughts. I no longer needed those things that reflected a Christless lifestyle. The apostle Paul said it this way, "When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things."[3] From the things in our garages and attics to the things in our memories and thoughts, there is a time to keep and a time to throw away. It may be a time to take an inventory. It may be time to do a little physical, mental and spiritual house cleaning.
