Title

Taking Ownership Of The Commandment

Scripture
…but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.
(Daniel 11:32)
Devotional
This prophetic statement from Daniel is both imperative and declarative. It is imperative in that it is a command of God. We are commanded to be strong, not in ourselves, but in the Lord. We are ordained to know our God and His word. The apostle Paul said, “That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death.” Therefore, there must also be a time in our lives that we take ownership of the commandment. We are to adopt God’s ways as our very own. We are to declare, with confidence, our strength in Christ. We are to carry out by faith great exploits because we know Him. It is commanded. It is to be applied. It is simply God’s will for our lives. Do you know Him? Do you have His strength? Are you accomplishing His will?
