Title

No Greater Fool

Scripture
Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.
(Galatians 6:41463)
Devotional
There is no greater fool than the fool who fools himself. The diabolical tool of the deceiver of the brethren is to get us to think that we are somehow exempt from the error of our ways, that God will overlook our foolishness. If we think that we can walk in the flesh and please God we are fooling ourselves and mocking God. We foolishly think that because something is on our hearts that it must be from God. "The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked."[41] Yet we, time and again, make choices and decisions based on how we feel in our hearts: sowing discord and expecting a reward, speaking partial truths and wanting agreement, dividing brothers and anticipating unity. "Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap." Examine your life: are you reaping corruption or are you reaping that which flows into everlasting life?
