Title

Good Versus Evil

Scripture
Seek good and not evil, that you may live…Hate evil, love good; establish justice in the gate….
(Amos 5:14-15)
Devotional
We are commanded to seek and love good. Doing so produces justice and an abundant life. On the other hand, we are to shun and hate evil. When evil is sought after, it will eventually lead to perverted love. Just as soon as this happens, the result will be condemnation and death. Never forget that, “The wages of sin is death…” However, those who seek and love good will not only acquire a good life, but will discover the way to eternal life. If you seek and love good, you will find Christ. He is good and only does good. Just as the wages of sin is death, “The gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Be careful not to even flirt with evil; to do so can be deadly. Run from evil. Always resist it. Seek and embrace good at all times, because authentic good will always lead to Christ.
