Title

Hallelujah, Praise The Lord

Scripture
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise The Lord!
(Psalm 150:6)
Devotional
The last line of the last Psalm this last day of the year says it all, “Praise the Lord.” The psalmist in essence declares that we are to praise Him in His Church and throughout His creation. We are to praise Him for His mighty acts, excellence and greatness. We are to praise Him with a plethora of musical instruments. We are to praise Him exuberantly. Who is to praise Him? “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.” If you are alive, then you ought to praise Him. If you can speak, write, sign or nod “Hallelujah,” you can praise the Lord. “Hallelujah” is the Hebrew word for “Praise the Lord.” Therefore, when you ought to praise Him and you do not know what to say or sing, simply proclaim “Hallelujah.” You can praise the Lord any time and any place. You can shout it when alone, or whisper it in a meeting. As we end the year, let us praise the Lord. Throughout the new year, let it be “Hallelujah!”
