Title

We Are Not To Be Driven By Fear

Scripture
The Lord will not allow the righteous soul to famish, but He eats away the desire of the wicked.
(Proverbs 10:3)
Devotional
King David said it this way, “I have been young, and now am old; yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his descendants begging bread.” It is of course prudent to prepare for a rainy day. However, we are not to be driven by fear. As I write this little devotion, the world is in turmoil. The president of the United States is being tried by the Senate after being impeached by the Congress. The king of Jordan is on his death bed. Much of the economy of the world is faltering and sin is rampant. Nevertheless, Jesus Christ remains on His throne. His church is intact, and the scriptures hold true. We are simply not to be driven by fear. None of the events of our time are taking God by surprise. We live in the greatest of times. The opportunity to share the gospel has never been greater. It is not the time to run to the hills. It is not the time to be self-preserving. We are not forsaken. “The Lord will not allow the righteous to famish.”
