There are nearly two-hundred incidences where the Bible says that God spoke to Moses. Just about every chapter in the book of Numbers begins with either, “The Lord said to Moses” or “The Lord spoke to Moses.” God spoke the law to Moses, and Moses spoke the law to the people. We have the written law of God, the Bible. God speaks to us more than two-hundred times. He speaks to us continually through His Word. We have the full counsel of God. Moses had only the Law. The Jews eventually had the Law and the Prophets. We have the total covenant of God. We have both testaments. How awesome it must have been for Moses to speak to God and hear His voice. It is hard for me to imagine. Yet I ma sure that Moses would have rather had what we have: the filling of the Holy Spirit and the complete Word of God. Jesus said, “… many prophets and righteous men desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.” We have it. It is called the Bible.
