Title

God Deserves And Demands The Best

Scripture
You shall not sacrifice to the Lord your God a bull or sheep which has any blemish or defect, for that is an abomination to the Lord your God.
(Deuteronomy 17:1)
Devotional
Have you ever received a gift that you did not like and gave it as a gift to another? If so, I doubt that it was given to someone that you care for very much. Would you buy a known flawed engagement ring? If so, you may want to reconsider marriage. Would you purchase an unsafe car for one of your children? I know that there are times you may consider doing so, but in reality, you never would. Why then do we so often give God leftovers? Instead of the first of our income and resources, we often give the last. Instead of the tithe being the first ten percent it is the final. We are willing to sacrifice for our desires, but are we willing to sacrifice for His? Do you give God the best of your time, energy and resources; or does He get your spare time, crumbs and remains? He gave His best; we ought to give ours.
