Title

The Blessings Of The Law

Scripture
And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God.
(Deuteronomy 28:2)
Devotional
Obedience delivers a blessing while disobedience brings a curse. In the law it takes total obedience for the blessing of the law to manifest. When the law is violated it is met with the curse of the law. Therefore, “…by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.” Instead of attempting to obey the letter of the law, we are to obey the law giver. We are to have a personal relationship with the Creator of the universe, the Lord Jesus Christ. Is a just law giver. The first step in obeying the law of God is through the finished work of the cross. Without Christ there is no one who does right. There is none righteous, no not one. When I am submitted to the law giver the blessings of the law are mine. When I violate the law, I have an advocate, Jesus Christ the righteous. The way to the blessings is clear, “Obey the voice of the Lord your God.”
