Remember Friendship

Scripture
Even my own familiar friend in whom I trusted… has lifted up his heel against me.
(Psalm 41:9)
Devotional
The enemy of the gospel of Christ, Satan, will do anything he can to divide and destroy the testimony of God’s people. One of his primary methods is to bring division between God’s people. No one can harm you like those the closest to you. If a known enemy is against you, it is no surprise, but when those you call friend rise up against you the hurt is long lasting. Do not be that kind of friend. There are no differences in the kingdom of God that cannot be worked out. If you have lost a good friend because of a disagreement or even abuse, fix it. You be the first to make things right. It does not matter who was at fault. You be the strong one. Jesus said, “If you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you… go your way. First be reconciled to your brother… Agree with your adversary quickly…” Be a friend. Remain a friend.
