God has spoken once, twice I have heard this: that power belongs to God.
(Psalm 62:11)
Devotional
When God says it, once ought to be enough; yet, because of His mercy, He will tell us until we understand. Here the message is simple, “Power belongs to God.” God alone empowers His people. It is not our power but His. Zechariah says it this way, “Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord of hosts.” Therefore the power we have available to us comes from the very Spirit of God. all that we have comes from the power God gives to us. If you have knowledge, God gave you the power to achieve it. If you have wealth, God has empowered you to obtain it as well. God is simply the source of all power. He empowered the sun to shine. He empowered the stars and the atom. He empowers you to receive His salvation. All power belongs to God, and it is there for you and me. Ask God to fill you with His Spirit, and “you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you…”
