Title

Is It Time To Dance?

Scripture
You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness.
(Psalm 30:11)
Devotional
Jesus also said, “In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”(1) There is a time to mourn and a time for sackcloth. However, there is a time to choose to dance and to be glad. We are not to allow sorrow and mourning to control our lives. In Christ, we have the power to control our time of sorrow and mourning. We can say, “I have mourned long enough, now it is time to dance. My sorrow has consumed enough of my life, it is time for me to be happy.”
We turn from our sorrow and mourning by turning to Christ. We turn to Christ by getting up, getting out, and getting involved with His will for our lives. His will for us is to occupy, take dominion of life, and worship with His people. If you will reach out, He will reach down and turn your mourning into dancing and your sorrow into joy.

Thought For The Day
“I have hope in the future. The Bible speaks about bodies being glorified. I know the meaning of that now. It’s the time after my death here when I, the quadriplegic, will be on my feet dancing.” Joni Eareckson Tada, founder and president of Joni and Friends, a Christian outreach in the disability community.
