If Responsible, Then Accountable

Scripture
So Saul died for his unfaithfulness which he had committed against the Lord, because he did not keep the word of the Lord…
(1 Chronicles 10:13.)
Devotional
Countless people are unfaithful to the Lord. Why don’t they die? This is a fair question. Out of all the unfaithful people in Israel, why Saul? The answer can only be found in who he was. Saul was the king, the leader of the people. The head always will have a greater responsibility than the tail. The greater the responsibility, the greater the accountability. They go hand in hand. If you want to be great in God’s kingdom, you will have to be accountable there as well. Jesus said, “To whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much as been committed, of him they will ask the more.” James said it this way, “My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.” So, you want to be a leader-get and stay accountable, because God will hold you as such.
