	Remember Whose House It Is

Scripture
And as for this house, which is exalted, everyone who passes by it will be astonished and say, “Why has the Lord done thus to this land and this house?”

(2 Chronicles 7:21)

This is often the testimony of many great Churches. Their beginnings are humble. Their aim is to glorify the Lord, and their growth is proportional. Nevertheless, instead of the Lord being the purpose of the house, the house becomes the purpose. The edifice is edified while the Lord receives token recognition. Before long there remains nothing but a glorious building, a museum of past and bygone blessings. Let us never forget, “Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it, unless the Lord guards the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.” Therefore, pray for your pastors and church leaders. Make sure that the Lord is the principal purpose of the Church in your life. It is His house. It is to be a house of prayer. We are His people. We are to be people of praise. Build a glorious house, a house of dignity and honor, but do so to the glory of God.
