Title

Let Us Rise Up And Build

Scripture
So they said, “Let us rise up and build.” Then they set their hands to this good work.”
(Nehemiah 2:18)
Devotional
What a great phrase, “Let us rise up and build.” As always every word of the Lord is there by purpose. Nothing is haphazard nor trivial. Proverbs says, “Every word of God is pure.” Therefore let us take a look at these few words. The quote begins with a command, “Let.” Growth is not an option for the believer. Nor is it an option for the body. He says, “Let us.” Any great accomplishment is achieved through a team effort. We are not to be a maintenance team but a growth team, “Let us rise up.” The design of the command is directional. It is to be an expanding direction. Thus, the purpose of the command, the team and the direction is edification. We are to build. The fruit of our joint labor is to accomplish not only a task, but a building. Therefore, whatever you endeavor to build, use Nehemiah’s plan. Get your team to obey the command of the Lord. Grasp the upward vision and build, build. build.
