Title

Build Your Wall

Scripture
For this reason he was hired, that I should be afraid and act that way and sin…
(Nehemiah 6:13)
Devotional
Nehemiah’s enemies were attempting to intimidate him into hiding in the temple of the Lord so that he would stop his building. To which he answered, “Should such a man as I flee?” He realized that fear would cause him to stop his great exploits. Therefore, fear would cause him to sin. Anytime we, by faith, engage in an endeavor and stop because of fear, we sin. If faith caused you to start, then fear should not cause you to stop. God is not fickle, nor is He fearful. Therefore, the next time you are tempted to quit because of fear, say, “Should such a one as I flee?” Never forget who you are in Christ. Never forget that you can do all things through Christ Who strengthens you. Furthermore, the fear of man brings a snare. Fear will cause you to sin and sin will bring about fear. Overcome your fear by simply not allowing it to overcome you; and build your wall.
