Title

That We Might Flourish

Scripture
Those who are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God.
(Psalm 92:13)
Devotional
Where is the source of your strength? Are you planted in the church of Jesus Christ? I am not talking about going to Church on a Sunday morning, fulfilling a religious obligation. I am talking about a personal relationship with the Lord and His people. The Body of Christ is the greatest organization on the face of the earth. It is to have a preeminence in our lives. The apostle Paul said to timothy that, “The house of God... is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.” We have trivialized the Church into a social meeting place. It has become a token homage to the things of God. What is your relationship to the house of the Lord? Do not think that it can be just you and Jesus. There are no Lone-Rangers in the kingdom of God. You need the Body of Christ and the Body of Christ needs you. You require ministry and you are required to minister. This is the prerequisite to flourishing in the courts of our God.
Thought For The Night

God’s mercy ... goes before the unwilling to make him willing; it follows the willing to make his will effectual.” Augustine of Hippo, (354-430), Bishop of Hippo in Roman Africa from 396 to 430 and considered by many to have been the most important theologian of the early Christian church.
