Title

They Are Gifts From God

Scripture
I give your priesthood to you as a gift for service...
(Numbers 18:7)
Devotional
There are gifted people and there are people who are gifts. When we distinguish the difference, we are on our way to greater understanding. For example, in the church, the Bible says that God gave some as apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers. These are given to the church so that the church can be equipped for ministry.(1)
People who are gifts reveal the giftedness in others. Therefore, seek the gift of God in your life. Find that person or persons who are gifts to you. They will cause you to be your best at whatever you do. They will sharpen you and expand your horizons.
God has anointed certain people to be gifts to other people. They are those who will come alongside you and expose you to great and mighty exploits. They will reveal to you things that you would never see without them. They are truly gifts from God just for you.

(1) Ephesians 4:11-12
Text For The Day
Numbers 18:7: “I give your priesthood to you as a gift for service.”
Thought For The Day
“Whatever our unique gifts are and whatever skill we have in using them, they are not God’s key concern with us. Maturing in our walk as Christians is not helped or hindered by our ‘special’ talents (or lack thereof), save one—obedience. This is one gift everyone has a crack at.” Michael K. Blanchard in A Common Thread (July 1987)
