Title

The Weather Of The Soul

Scripture
The north wind brings forth rain, and a backbiting tongue an angry countenance.
(Proverbs 25:23)
Devotional
There are sure reactions to every action. Just as certain types of weather are the result of typical patterns, the storms of life are the outcome of the weather of the mind. When we have cloudy thoughts, we will live stormy lives. The lightning of our lips produces the thunder of another’s countenance. Clear weather of the conscience will bring about fair sailing through life’s seas. Avoid the storms of gossip and backbiting. Flee lies and false testimonies. Run from the tornado of lustful thoughts and flee the flood of judgments. Do not be tempest tossed by the heat of hell. Make the days of your mind sunny and bright. May the clouds of your reason be pleasant dreams of faith and hope. May the visibility of your mind’s eye be crystal clear. May the weather of your spirit be as the brightness and peace of heaven. This can be the climate of your life if Christ is the weatherman of your soul.
