Devotional
I know of no sadder words than “No hope.” Yet, that is exactly where the world is without Christ. Imagine, no chance of success, no chance of happiness, no chance of eternal life. Without Christ life is hopeless. There may be an appearance of success or happiness, but they will be short lived. An additional sad fact is that God’s people often live their lives as if there is no hope. We seem to forget who we are. We live way beneath our ability and giftedness. We are children of the King. We are those who have received all of the promises of God. We are going to live for ever. We are saved from eternal destruction. We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. Therefore, we must stop living as if we have no hope. We have Christ in us the hope of glory. Never give up hope. Never stop your God-given endeavor, no matter how hopeless it may look. Lift up your head, for your redemption is drawing near.
