Title

Love Enough To Express and Correct

Scripture
Open rebuke is better than love carefully concealed.
(Proverbs 27:5)
Devotional
Love is not expressed merely in flowery speech or soft words. Love speaks the truth and it does so in love. Love expresses itself with deeds and commitment. It is likewise manifest with correction and guidance. If you love someone you ought to let them know it. Concealed love has little value. Show your love by your actions and deeds. Demonstrate your love with concern for the well being of the one loved. Tell them when they are in error. Explain to them the better way. Love does not allow the one loved to travel the road to destruction without intervention. If the one you love rejects your honest rebuke, you still need to love them enough to tell them anyway. If your love is not concealed, you most likely will be heard. Sometimes love has to speak with a hard word rather than a soft one. Therefore, love enough to express it and love enough to correct it.
