Title

Success Has Its Enemies

Scripture
O my God, I trust in You; let me not be ashamed; let not my enemies triumph over me.
(Psalm 25:2)
Devotional
Enemies do not always wear a different uniform nor speak a different language. They may not even acknowledge that they are your enemies. Of all enemies, these are the deadliest. I have seen that success generates admiration and envy, happiness and jealousy, friends and enemies. As you distance yourself from others through success in any realm, you will create enemies. Whether your growth is financial, social or even spiritual, some will rise up against you. These are often those who have known you the longest and you have trusted the most. There is not to be paranoia in success. Nevertheless, the more success the more you must trust in the Lord and the more careful you must be not to bring shame on the one in whom you trust. If you place your trust in the Christ and acquire His integrity, your enemies will by no means triumph over you.
