Title

Only Believe

Scripture
He said to the ruler of the synagogue, “Do not be afraid; only believe.”
(Mark 5:36)
Devotional
Disease, death and fear could not stand in the presence of Jesus. He overcame them all. He has likewise overcome them in your life. As Jesus said to the ruler of the synagogue, He says to you and me, “Do not be afraid; only believe.” Jesus furthermore said, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” Therefore, when great trials and conflicts come your way, “Do not be afraid; only believe.” Believe that the Lord is in total control; your dilemma is not taking Him by surprise. We can never catch God off guard. Heaven never panics. God is in control. However, this does not mean that we are to be out of control and apathetic toward our life’s situation. We have a high calling. We are called to believe. We are to believe in the sovereignty of God. Likewise, we are to believe in His goodness, mercy and perfect understanding. We can trust Him. Therefore He says to us, do not be afraid; only believe.”
