Title

The Key To Greatness

Scripture
Whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant.
(Mark 10:43)
Devotional
I would hope that every believer would desire greatness in his or her calling. God did not create us for mediocrity. He created us in His own image, and there is no doubt that His image is more than great. We were not created for failure. We were created to succeed. We were not created for weakness, but strength. We are fearfully and wonderfully made. Therefore, if greatness in God’s calling is avoiding us, maybe, just maybe, we are missing the mark. Maybe we are striving to be served instead of serving. Do you desire greatness? There is only one answer, and that answer must be “Yes.” Therefore learn to serve. Those who are the greatest are those who serve the most. It is not a matter of seeking fame. Most famous people are infamous in the sight of God. We are not after fame, we are after greatness. We are to desire to be the best we can be with the gifts and abilities God has given us. If you want to be great in God’s kingdom, be a servant of all.
