Title

The Insatiable Appetite of Wickedness

Scripture
The righteous eats to the satisfying of his soul, but the stomach of the wicked shall be in want.
(Proverbs 13:24)
Devotional
Wickedness can never be satisfied. The more you feed him the more he wants. Like his twin brother lust, he grows worse and worse in his passion for sin. Wickedness, like all sin will take you further than you want to go, keep you longer than you wish to stay and cost you more than you are willing to pay. Whenever we willfully choose a sinful diet, no matter what the motive, we will acquire an insatiable appetite for more. Wickedness is a glutton for sin. The satisfaction of righteousness on the other hand, is not based on acquiring more for the sake of more, but finding contentment in the journey. When we choose righteousness over wickedness, we are choosing joy over sorrow and peace over conflict. If your desire is founded on wickedness your desire will never be satisfied. If it is founded on righteousness, you desire will be met all along your journey to success.
