Devotional
There has always been a need for leadership and there will always be a need for it. Mankind is not designed to function without an authority in his or her life. There has always been an alignment in creation. Without leadership there can only be chaos. The apostle Paul said it this way to the Corinthians, “But I want you to know that the head of every man is Christ, the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.” When we are subject to leadership we are not subject by way of bondage. We are subject in liberty and grace. One cannot lead unless he or she is being led. You know full well that when we are left to our own unaccountable devices we will fall in to differing degrees of sin. We will give way to everything from laziness to lust. We will be like ancient Israel, everyone doing what is right in our own eyes.
