Title

Freed and Pardoned

Scripture
Jehoiachin changed from his prison garments, and he ate bread regularly before the king all the days of his life.
(2 Kings 25:29 So)
Devotional
Jehoiachin was a Babylonian prisoner for thirty-seven years. Nevertheless, the king spoke kindly to him and released him from prison. How long have you been a prisoner? How long have you been in bondage to a besetting sin or a mediocre lifestyle? Maybe you are not stuck in a literal prison, but maybe you are a prisoner of habit or bad choices. Do not give up. Do not stay in your prison. God desires to speak kindly to you. He wants you to eat bread at His table. There is a better life than a life of mundane mediocrity. You can be freed and pardoned. Jesus said, “If the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.” Maybe it has bee thirty-seven years or even longer, listen to the kind voice of your Creator. Seek the freedom He is offering you today and eat bread at the King’s table.
