Prevailers and Relinquishers

Judah prevailed over his brothers, and from him came a ruler, although the birthright was Joseph’s.

Devotional
That ruler was the lion of the tribe of Judah, the Lord Jesus Christ. Of which tribe are you? Are you a prevailer or a relinquisher? Those who prevail are the ones who walk in obedience to the things of God. Those who relinquish their birthright are those who walk in obedience to themselves. How many birthrights have you relinquished? To what have you surrendered your life? When we go in the counsel of our own understanding we relinquish our birthright. Whenever we willfully disobey our own conscience we likewise relinquish our birthright. However, when we do not violate our conscience we prevail and when we do the good that we know to do, again we are prevailers. The Lion of the tribe of Judah prevailed. Are you following Him or are you relinquishing your birthright to a lessor tribe? Are you a prevailer or a relinquisher
