Title

Rightfully Fearless

Scripture
Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.
(Deuteronomy 31:6)
Devotional
The good news of the Word of God does not get any better than this. Let us never forget: That which God commands He will equip. We are never commanded to do what we cannot fulfill. When God says, “Be strong,” we can be assured that He will strengthen us. When He commands, “Be of good courage,” we can again be assured that there is nothing to fear.
What would you dare attempt to accomplish if you knew that these truths were with you? Well, they are. He has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we may boldly say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” (1) Therefore, we should never allow man to intimidate us.
To be inhibited, fearful or ashamed to do God’s will for our lives is without cause. Let us go about the business of our lives with boldness. Let us proclaim what we know to be true unashamedly. Both God and man are counting on us to do so.

Thought For The Day
“Verses such as these are the best fear insurance you can invest in. Memorize them. Write them out, or print them on cards, and place them in locations where you might be attacked. Let the Word of God fortify your spirit.” Adapted from, Slaying the Giants in Your Life by David Jeremiah
Questions To Ponder

Morning Study Guide
Defining:  “Fear” is not a negative trait, unless the one or thing feared is not to be feared. Rightful fear is healthy and godly, righteous and noble. We are to fear God and the violation of His commandments and Word. Those who fear God usually fear little or nothing else.

Referencing: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you. For I am the Lord your God,” Isaiah 43:1-3

Applying: Be fearless, but wise. Rightfully fear God and you need not fear anything else.
