Title

Weeping and Laughing Together

Scripture
“But many of the… old men who had seen the first temple, wept… yet many shouted aloud for joy.”
(Ezra 3:12)
Devotional
We may weep for what could have been, but we must rejoice for what is to come. ?I often try to imagine what my life would be like today if I had walked with Christ from my youth. My life without Christ brings me shame and sorrow. Nevertheless, I must rejoice for what Christ has done in my life in spite of my previous lifestyle. ?When we understand what could have been, let us weep. When we see what God has done, let us rejoice. There is such a fine line between tears and laughter and often times their expressions and tones are identical. But both are necessary. Both are acceptable. Both are of the Lord. ?What are you weeping over? What are you rejoicing over?
