Title

Bringing Our Faith to the Test

Scripture
“For I was ashamed to request of the king an escort… because we had spoken… saying, ‘The hand of our God is upon all those who seek Him…’”
(Ezra 8:22)
Devotional
It was one thing for Ezra to proclaim the protection of God, but another for him to walk in his proclamation. You see, Ezra’s boast in the Lord was called to an account and his faith was tested. What was his response you ask? He went to the Lord. Josiah said, “So we fasted and entreated our God for this, and He answered our prayer.” ?Likewise, God will test our faith. It will be in those times that we realize whether or not our faith is real. When our words are called to an account, let us follow Ezra’s example in seeking the Lord. We need not refrain from boasting in the Lord unless we are willing to have our faith be put to the test. Likewise, we need not challenge the faith of others unless we are willing to have our faith be challenged in the same manner. ?Before our faith is tested let us bring our faith to Him.
