Have you every heard someone say, “I cannot follow a God that allows suffering in the world?” Such a comment comes from a person who doesn’t fully understand who God is or what His purpose is for our lives.?There is no wisdom, understanding, or counsel that will lessen the sovereignty of the Almighty Creator of the universe. We cannot argue against Him nor debate His wisdom. If we think we can, then let us not call Him God. To do so is to make ourselves our own gods. ?Although he is all-powerful, all-knowing and almighty. This does not nullify our free will or our innate tendency to question His sovereignty in our lives. It does however cause us to realize, “That there is no wisdom or understanding or counsel against the Lord.” And that is why we call Him God.
