Devotional
Let us never forget that the Old Testament is a shadow the New Testament. We are to always interpret the old in light of the new. This does not nullify the old it confirms it. For example, the purpose of the Psalms is to teach us to praise and worship the Lord through prose, poetry and music. These are given for our benefit, that we would be more able to learn and bring to memory the things of God. Think about some of the songs that you may not have heard for many years
