Because the sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the hearts of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.

If we want a clear precise answer to moral dilemma of our day here it is. From the failing to discipline a rebellious child to the twenty years spent on death row, each sets the hearts of our youth to do evil. Why? There is no discipline, nor just punishment and above all, no love. As always, the scriptures are clear, “For whom the Lord loves He chastens, and scourges every son whom He receives.” A just disciplining parent is far more loved and respected than a head turning, eye closing father or mother. The demise of the land is the removal of discipline and the tolerance of sin. Justice must be quick or it turns to injustice. This verse of scripture ought to be on the walls of every courtroom of our land. Let us at best rule our homes by it and live by it to the best of our abilities.
