We Have Limited Knowledge

For we know in part and we prophesy in part.

Devotional
I am convinced that the longer we live and walk with the Lord the more we understand how much we do not know. No matter what the situation there are things about that situation we do not know and we do not understand. Therefore at best all we can do is judge incompletely. And if all we can do is judge in part then we should not judge at all. The only thing remaining for us to do is love as Christ commanded us to love. Let me qualify, this does not mean that we are not to judge sin as sin, but it does mean that we are not to judge the heart and intent of the sinner. No one has a total understanding of the eternal Word of God. As the apostle Paul has said, “Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected.” Let us not forget, “We know in part and we prophesy in part.”
