What a clear description of the Creator of the universe, the Lord Jesus Christ. He is altogether lovely. There is none like Him. He shines in the darkest of days and comforts the most broken heart. He is our beloved. He is so easy to love, because He first loved us. Christ’s demonstration of love is unsurpassed in eternity. He chose to love us when we were to the utmost unlovable. The love of God is expressed by the giving of His Son to ransom us by His own blood. Christ is not only all together lovely and easy to love, He is our Friend. Think about that, the very Creator of the universe calls you friend. Now, friendship with Christ comes with a stipulation. Christ says, “You are My friends if you do whatever I command you.” Let us not forget that His commandments are based on His love for us and our love for Him. They furthermore are not burdensome.
