Title

You Sharpen My Faith

Scripture
Not that we have dominion over your faith, but are fellow workers for your joy; for by faith you stand.
(2 Corinthians 1:24)
Devotional
You and I cannot do it alone. We do not have control over each other, but we are to lead each other. You have gifts and talents that I need and I have gifts and talents that you need. We are to be subject to one another in the fear of the Lord. When we are, we experience the joy of the Lord. Our being subject to each other is not bondage, but freedom and joy. When we learn to sharpen each other we exercise our faith and through that faith we are able to stand. It isn’t faith in each other nor faith in faith, but faith in Christ that enables us to stand without wavering. It is not my desire to let you down, nevertheless I most likely will. I am likewise sure that it is not your desire to disappoint those that you love. That is why we are not to have dominion over each other, but we are to increase each other’s faith. Together we encourage each other to stand by faith.
