The grace that the apostle Paul speaking of is the grace of giving. When we see the giving of tithes and offerings as a legal issue we miss the blessing of God’s grace. Abraham gave tithes before the giving of the law, so did Jacob. Galatians says, “That the law, which was four hundred and thirty years later, cannot annul the covenant that was confirmed before by God in Christ, that it should make the promise of no effect.” Giving of tithes and offerings has always been a grace issue. The law of God confirmed this it; the law could never nullify grace. If we learn to see the giving of tithes and offerings as a grace issue, We will likewise get to see the grace of God abound in every area of our lives. We will fall more deeply in love with the giver of that grace, the Lord Jesus Christ. “For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”
