Devotional

I have never seen the fields so white for the harvest in my three decades of walking with the Lord. People are hungry and searching for something more than this world has to offer. They are looking for something in which to place their hope. Those who have placed their faith and trust in Christ have that hope.
Let us go about the business of sharing it and reaping the harvest. It does not take much to pluck the grain from the stocks. It just takes a willing laborer. Simply share what you know. Tell people that God loves them and that He has an awesome plan for their lives. He really does! Learn how to show them from the Bible how they can be eternally saved. Show and tell them about the abundant life that is available to them. Tell them; show them, and model it to them. Be a witnessing laborer. Live it and talk it and do it with all the enthusiasm you have.

Defining: “Harvest” is both a verb and a noun. As a noun it represents those who are ready to be brought into the kingdom. As a verb it is the act of reaping, sharing your faith in Christ with a potential believer.

Referencing: “Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!” John 4:35.

Applying: There are those who need to be harvested, and there are those who need to do the harvesting. Whichever you are, seek the other.
