Title

It Takes Timing

Scripture
Like one who takes away a garment in cold weather, and like vinegar on soda, is one who sings songs to a heavy heart.
(Proverbs 25:20)
Devotional
Proverbs furthermore instructs, “He who blesses his friend with a loud voice, rising early in the morning, It will be counted a curse to him.” As you can see, timing is of the utmost importance in our dealing with others. Have you ever know people with bad timing? Maybe these two proverbs describe someone you know. Timing like all godly traits can be learned. It just takes a little time. It takes time to think before we speak. It takes time to master appropriate responses to different situations. For example there are to be different words of encouragement given at wedding and funerals. Unfortunately many people just do not know what to say, and they just do not understand that saying nothing at all is better than spouting foolishness. It takes effort. It takes time, but the fruit of the right words at the right time are what makes for success.
