Corruption Corrupts

Scripture
A little leaven leavens the whole lump.
(Galatians 5:9)
Devotional
There are many contagious diseases, but health has to be acquired. The apostle Paul instructs, “Do not be deceived: “Evil company corrupts good habits.” We fool ourselves when we think that we can toy with sin and not be contaminated by it. It is foolish to think that we can change people for the better. Only God can do that. It is likewise foolish to think that we can be unequally yoked and adapt the yoke. Many a young lover has succumbed to the temptation of thinking that they can change the love of their life after marriage. Here is what I have seen: The good attributes diminish and the bad ones escalate after marriage. It is one thing to attempt to save the world, it is quite another to mix with it. One bad apple can spoil the whole bunch. Bad company does corrupt good morals. A little leaven does leaven the whole lump.
