Title

There Is Only One God

Scripture
To whom will you liken Me, and make Me equal and compare Me, that we should be alike?
(Isaiah 46:5)
Devotional
Moses said it this way, “Who is like You, O Lord, among the gods? Who is like You, glorious in holiness, Fearful in praises, doing wonders?” When we pray and when we worship we are to say, “There is none like You, O Lord!” The problem arises when we begin to compare God to ourselves and our sinful nature. We foolishly think that God is altogether like us. He is not. There is none like Him. It is true that we have been created in His image. Nevertheless, Sin has tainted that image immensely. We are fearfully and wonderfully made. He is wonderful and to be feared. Therefore we are not to judge God according to the dictates of our own natures. He is not to be conformed to our image, we are to be transformed into His. God is not a man that He should lie. There is only one God and there is none like Him.
