Title

We Know the Final Score

Scripture
You also be patient, establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.
(James 5:8)
Devotional
Patience is the ability to remain the same in all situations. We are to establish this kind of patience in our hearts. The way that we do that is by focusing on the certainty of Christ’s return. No matter what this world may bring, we can have the absolute assurance that the best is yet to come. We have the promise of heaven and eternal life. No matter what, we win. No matter what the score, in the end we are the victors. Therefore, play with all your heart. Give it your best even when tired or injured. We can laugh at scorn and smile at adversities. They may have a few apparent successes, but we know the final score. When the things of life get you down, look up, for your redemption is drawing very near. Do not quit. Do not surrender to life’s attacks. Keep your eye on the ball. Take full swings and enjoy the game. Remember that you win.
