A Wake-Up-Call

Now the angel who talked with me came back and wakened me, as a man who is wakened out of his sleep. And he said to me, “What do you see?”

This same question was asked to Jeremiah, Amos and here to Zechariah. Likewise, this visitation by the angel of the Lord that came to these three still comes to God’s people today. He still has to waken us as a man is wakened out of his sleep. We, more than often, have to be awakened out of our lethargic existences and stupefied lifestyles. We simply need a wake-up-call. We require someone to say to us, “Wake up O sleeper, what do you see?” When the wake-up-call comes, let us heed the angel’s call and get up and look at our lives and answer the question, “What do you see?” What do we see with regard to our health, our families, our work or business? What do we see about our physical, mental and, above all, our spiritual life? What do you see, and what are you going to do about the things that you see?
