Title

Plant Some Seeds of Friendliness

Scripture
A man who has friends must himself be friendly, But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
(Proverbs 18:24)
Devotional
I have found that those who always consider people unfriendly, are themselves unfriendly. I have never met a friendly person who thought people to be unfriendly. It is the simple law of sowing and reaping. If you want friends, plant some seeds of friendliness. It is not so much a matter of being outgoing, as much as it is a matter of simple courtesy, politeness, and above all, being more interested in others than in yourself. By the way, your courtesy, politeness, and interest must be genuine. There is no such thing as superficial friendliness. There is only superficial phoniness, and people can spot it a mile away. Here is the key to having friends: become a dear friend to Him who sticks closer than a brother, then you will be more than able to make and keep close friends. Others may forsake you, but not Him. Naturally, Jesus Christ is that friend.
